This season we’re putting down the full-coverage base in favour of a dewy and sheer finish. Keeping eyes bright and subtle with minimal product, and lips kept hydrated with a slick of rose-tinted lipbalm. That’s what this time of year is all about, right? Dewy hues, subtle hints of colour and embracing your natural beauty.
We’re totes girl-crushin’ on blonde beauties Rosie H-W and Candice Swanepoel and their effortless make-up styles this week, who totally captivate this look perfectly. Get the look and shop the edit below to channel your inner supermodel..
Supermodels are widely known for their gorgeous glowing skin! Mix in your fave Pearlescent Cream Highlighter on the back of your hand with your holy grail foundation for a dewy and luminous finish to rival Candice’s glow. Our Foundation of choice at the mo’ is the HD Finish which lasts up to 12 hours – ensuring that you look babein’ all day long! Apply starting from the center of your face, focusing most of the coverage here. You can always apply more later if you need to! Blend in seamlessly with a Beauty Blender or Pro Masterclass Brush for a make-up artist worthy finish.
MAKE ME BLUSH
Our fave blush of choice at the moment has to be cream formulas. Not only are they incredibly easy to apply and work with, they give a healthy sheen and finish to the skin and are universally flattering – regardless of your skintone. Warm up the product and apply sparingly to channel your inner Rosie H-W, or build up the blush and blend out the edges using your foundation brush. Peach tones and soft rosy hues are so in!
They say that eyes are the window to the soul. And what better way to accentuate and focus all attention than a shimmering wash of colour? Keep it subtle with tones of soft taupe, muted pinks and pewter hues. Blending is the key to this look, the Pointed Crease Brush will become your bestfriend to buff out any sharp edges. Opt for a dark brown eyeshadow and apply as smoked out liner, instead of strong black to keep it ‘au naturale’. Add a coat of lengthening Mascara to keep those lashes fluttering.
Keep lips supple and hydrated in these colder months with a DIY lip exfoliant and balm. Mix a tablespoon of sugar with honey until it turns to a grit-like paste. Once or twice a week, apply the lip scrub and massage in to rid of any dry/dead skin. Let the product absorb for a minute, and then wipe off with a damp cotton pad. We do have to warn, this sweet combination tastes SUPER nice and you’ll be so tempted to eat it! Finish off with a slick of moisturising lip balm, a dab of your favourite lip stain or go-to High Shine Gloss for a luscious pout.
