As all eyes were on the King’s Coronation this weekend, ours were kept firmly on the hairstyles which graced the steps of Westminster Abbey, the balcony of Buckingham Palace (and beyond!)
Our favourite hair muse in particular - Kate Middleton, The Princess of Wales - donned a tousled chignon bun for the occasion with so much texture. Well, according to royal hair stylist Amanda Cook Tucker, it's all in the preparation. "A good blow-dry is key to achieving any style, but is especially important for a sleek ponytail," Tucker explains. "I would recommend using a small amount of serum on damp hair before blow-drying with a paddle brush to help achieve smoothness."
